Aster's Story

Meet lovely calico Aster! This beautiful girl found herself at ACCT with some health concerns. Luckily, Fishtails was able to pull her out and our awesome foster Erica invited her into her home. Now Aster is on the mend, enjoying foster life, and ready for her forever home! Aster is a calm girl who loves to play "hockey" with her toys. She is a great eater and love to solicit affection. She does take a day or two to learn her surroundings but once she does, she is out and about! She is even friendly with visitors and new friends. But like many of our cat friends, she can sometimes get overstimulated by touch and will let you when pet time is over with a little nip or two. For this reason, she would do best in a home without young children (12+ who can respect her boundaries would work!). She is a confident girl who knows what she likes! She is a curious and spunky girl despite being a bit older then the rest of the cats. Aster seems to be good with other cats but would be fine as an only pet. She loves human attention so would need a home where she can receive all the attention she deserves! Aster is currently taking medication for a few health issues she is continuing to heal from her days at ACCT. Fishtails can provide any interested applicants more information on her health needs. Fishtails Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

Fishtails Animal Rescue strives to provide you with a healthy pet. However, the stress of changing environments can lower an animal’s immunity to fight disease and the pet could harbor an infection without displaying symptoms. We cannot guarantee the health of any animal. Any pet adopted out by Fishtails Animal Rescue will be up-to-date on vaccines (unless medically contraindicated), microchipped, spayed/neutered (if age appropriate*), and given a dose of flea/heartworm preventative. The microchip must be registered by the adopter to their new information. *If the animal is not spayed/neutered at time of adoption, the adopter will do so within 2 months after the animal reaches 6 months of age. In addition, if pet is under 16 weeks at the time of adoption, adopter is responsible for boosters for vaccines. Fishtails Animal Rescues is located in Philadelphia, PA and accepts applications within the tri-state area. The first step in our adoption process is to complete the adoption application found on our website. Applications are reviewed within 72 hours of submissions.
