Aspen (Remy)'s Story
I came into this world in December 2021, and for my first three years I was well and truly loved clicker trained, held like a baby, and trusted to greet every single guest who walked through the door with a proper leg rub. I took that job very seriously.

I'm a cat of refined tastes. Sunbeams, cardboard boxes, and if you happen to be cooking with yogurt or cream and feel generous I will absolutely be waiting. I'm not pushy about it. I'm just... present.

I'll be honest: I'll curl up at your feet while you work from home, claim my corner of the couch while you read, and settle in close during rest time. You might not hear my purr from across the room, but press your ear to my chest and you'll find a deep, rumbling kind of happy that says everything. I also make little chirps when you give me gentle head pets, and some genuinely funny squeaks mid-stretch after a nap. I can't help it. Stretching is serious business.

Here's the part I need you to hear: I've been through some changes, and change is hard for me. When I'm scared and don't yet trust you, I may scratch, bite, or lash out multiple layers of clothing are a reasonable precaution in week one, and I mean that sincerely. I also have a history of stress-related accidents, though I haven't had any since I've been in rescue, even through a couple of transitions.

But here's what's also true: it takes about a week. One week of patience, steadiness, and showing up and then I am all in. Lap sitting, leaning against your leg, kisses, the whole thing. I'm not a project. I'm a gem waiting for the right person to know that.

Remy needs to be adopted into an adult only home with no other cats.

If you're the kind of human who understands that trust takes time and thinks that's worth it, I really think we'd be great together.

--
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals. Our adoption fee is $300 per cat.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age. If you are interested in meeting this cat, please fill out an application on our website!

https://www.therescuepack.org/cat-adoption-application
