ASIA's Story

ASIA has officially held a title no one wants — longest resident at the shelter — and frankly, we don’t understand how this has happened.

She first arrived in late January 2025, has gotten to know and become friends with several roommates who have been adopted. Asia has been quietly wondering why the right person hasn’t found her yet.

She is estimated to be almost 2 years old, which means she’s past the wild kitten phase but still young enough to bring plenty of companionship, personality, and love into her future home.

Let’s be clear: Asia is a good girl…independent, and with her own bit of cautiousness in choosing who will be her own special human.

She’s sweet, affectionate, and enjoys attention — but on her terms. She wants you to love her… while also respecting that she is an independent woman who does not need you. She can easily be bribed with Delectables Squeeze-Ups!!

ASIA would do best with an experienced cat owner, not because she’s “bad” (she absolutely is not), but because she knows who she is and what she wants.

If you respect her rules, listen to her boundaries, and accept that she’s going to be spoiled whether you planned on it or not, she will be the most loyal, loving, hilarious companion you could ask for.

ASIA has waited long enough. She deserves more than watching friend after friend leaving her— she deserves a home that understands her independence, sparkle, her RBF, and her big sassy heart.

Could that home be yours? 🐾❤️

Our adoption fee of only $75.00 includes spay/neuter surgery, post-op pain medication, vaccinations, deworming, litter box training, socialization to humans and other cats, rabies vaccination if old enough, and microchip. We are a mandatory spay/neuter facility and NO animal may leave our facility prior to having surgery....no exceptions!!!

To find out more about this beautiful girl named ASIA, please contact Beverly Pack (Volunteer, LC Humane Society) at (606) 571-6224.
