Ash's Story

Ash is a stunning, long-haired gentleman with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Around 6 years old, he spent the past few years surviving outdoors on JBER before finally getting his chance at a better life.

Now that he’s safe and cared for, his sweet and playful nature is shining through more every day. Ash absolutely loves to play, but he’s just as happy curling up right next to you for some cozy snuggles. He’s very food motivated (treats are definitely the way to his heart!) and thrives on attention from his people. Because he can get a little nippy when he’s feeling extra playful or wants attention, he would do best in a home without small children and with someone who understands cat behavior and can redirect his energy with toys. While we’re not sure how he does with other cats, Ash would likely be happiest as the king of his castle, soaking up all the love and attention for himself.

When Ash was rescued, his beautiful long coat was heavily matted from life outside and had to be shaved down but it’s already growing back in soft and gorgeous, just like him. With regular grooming and indoor living, he’s going to be absolutely breathtaking. Ash has been through a lot, but he hasn’t let that dull his spirit. He’s full of love, personality, and playful charm, and he’s ready to find a home where he can finally relax, be adored, and live the life he deserves.

Located in Anchorage, text 720-563-7141
