Arthur's Story

Introducing Arthur! This boy is a real gem just waiting patiently for his forever family. Arthur was quite the spicy little kitten, but now he has settled so well into a truly wonderful adult. He gets along with every other cat in his foster mom's house and especially has a sweet spot for kittens.

As he's gotten a little older, Arthur has become very adventurous and a lot more social. He still doesn't prefer pets or cuddles, but he loves to hang out and play with his foster siblings. He even follows his foster mom around the house, getting up on the couch or bed with her while she works or reads. He runs down the stairs when his foster parents gets home and likes to be a part of everything that goes on in the house - yet he stays just out of reach of being touched!

Arthur will definitely need to go to a home with an outgoing cat friend or be adopted with another social butterfly from Trash Cat! He loves to play and is great with any other cat he's met. However, he can also be very chill and relaxed and he cuddles a lot with his foster siblings. He loves treats and wet food. He will need to go home with someone who understands that he may never be a lap cat, and it may take him several weeks or even months to settle into his new routine. For this reason, we think he would be best in a home with adults only, or older kids who won't get their feelings hurt by his disinterest in being handled!

Arthur is a little over two years old. He is neutered, dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Are you willing to work with a cat who needs a little extra love? Please apply to adopt Arthur today!

Trash Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Typically the potential adopter reaches out either with or without a specific cat in mind. We will usually ask questions about the type of cat the adopter is interested in (any preferences as far as gender, color, personality, etc.), as well as the sort of home the cat would be going to (any kids, other pets, etc.). If we have a cat or kitten who would be a good fit, the adopter can fill out our application for that animal. If not, the person can still fill out the app, and we will keep them if mind if we end up with a cat who we think would be a good fit. Once the app is reviewed/approved (including checking vet and landlord references), we would chat any further with the adopter if needed, and then schedule a meet and greet with them with the cat or kitten. If the animal and the adopter hit it off, the adopter would then fill out our adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and take the cat or kitten home!
