Army Ranger's Story

Army Ranger is a handsome young tabby with a heart as big as his personality. At just a year and a half old, he’s the perfect blend of playful, affectionate and social. He loves being around his people and will happily rub against your legs, nuzzle your face and soak up all the pets and scratches you’re willing to give. One of his favorite things is spending time with his humans, whether that’s playing with a toy, supervising your daily activities or simply curling up nearby for some attention.Army Ranger spent a long time living in small spaces at the rescue and adoption center, and that stressful environment occasionally brought out some defensive hisses or warning nips. Since moving into foster care and finally having room to relax, his true personality has emerged. He’s proven himself to be a gentle, loving boy who wants nothing more than affection and companionship. Like many cats, he can become a little overstimulated if petting continues past his comfort level, but he communicates clearly with subtle warnings and responds well when his boundaries are respected.Army Ranger is looking for a cat-savvy adopter who appreciates feline communication and wants a loyal, affectionate companion. In return, he’ll reward you with endless purrs, sweet face rubs and the kind of loving friendship that makes every day a little brighter. This special boy has waited a long time for a place to call home, and now he’s more than ready to share his big heart with the right family. Meet Army Ranger by applying to adopt (no committment) to schedule a meet and greet in his foster home. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative.

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
