They are approximately 5 months old.<br/><br/>Arlo is short hair seal point Siamese with a laid-back personality who likes to sleep with his long body completely stretched out. His nickname is “fastidious queen”, as he always double checks that his sister covered her litter correctly and he is a very curious little guy who likes to know what’s going on. Toss a toy across the room and he will run over to investigate. He also gets zoomies and loves playing with his sister. With a tasty treat and a little patience, he may allow one or two pets, but he is still shy and learning that humans can be friendly. He will often lay close by and let his sister go first when treats are offered.<br/><br/>Aoife is a seal point Siamese who likes to spend her time chasing wand toys and playing with her brother. She can’t get enough Churu treats! She will run to get in your lap just to get some and she likes to “staple” the treat with her teeth while she eats. Aoife is still learning to trust people and currently only allows pets during treat time. Even though she is shy, she warms up fast if treats or playing with toys are involved.<br/><br/>Both Aoife and Arlo will require some patience in warming up. They spent their first four months of life as strays and were rescued from a site with over 40+ cats. They are still skittish when being handled and have not yet learned to like petting without treats. They sometimes hide or run if there’s too much movement. These two will benefit from slow and gentle interactions.<br/><br/>Together, they make a curious and playful pair.<br/><br/>What Arlo and Aoife are looking for in a home:<br/><br/> - They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.<br/> - They’re new to indoor life with humans, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers can make them nervous. <br/> - They’ll need extra time and TLC to build trust. <br/> - They have lots of kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.<br/> - They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment.They need to live indoors only.<br/> - They have a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend close to their age.<br/> - They have no known history with dogs.<br/> - They have no known history with children.<br/><br/>All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:<br/><br/> - $200 per cat or kitten<br/> - $350 for pair of cats or kittens<br/> - $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)<br/> - Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care<br/> - Adjustable fee upon request for adopters who are low income, and seniors, disabled, or others with fixed incomes. <br/> - Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts<br/><br/>Thank you for your interest in Arlo and Aoife.
