Arlo's Story

At around 7 years old, Arlo is a big, handsome tabby with striking stripes, soulful eyes, and a heart that's just waiting to trust again. After spending years in a crowded hoarding home, he's finally getting the chance to discover what it feels like to be safe, loved, and cared for.

Arlo is a quiet, gentle boy who finds comfort in the company of other cats. One of his favorite things is curling up beside a feline friend for a cozy nap or giving them sweet little grooming sessions. Because of this, he'd love a home with another friendly cat who can help him continue building his confidence. He also does ok with calm, friendly dogs.

Understandably, Arlo can be a little shy when meeting new people. He'll need a patient adopter who will let him settle in at his own pace, without expecting too much too soon. But once he realizes he's finally home, his loving personality begins to shine. There's an incredibly sweet, affectionate cat waiting beneath that cautious exterior—one who simply needs someone willing to give him the time he never had before.

Arlo is FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive, but that shouldn't keep him from finding the loving family he deserves. FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds, not through sharing food bowls, litter boxes, grooming, or cuddling. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, healthy lives and safely coexist with other friendly cats.

After six years of uncertainty, Arlo is ready for something he's never truly had—a peaceful home, a soft bed, full bowls, and a family who will love him just as he is. If you have room in your heart for a gentle soul who's been waiting far too long for his happy ending, Arlo is ready to meet you.

Here's a direct link to our cat application https://airtable.com/shrGSvgMTS3wUQn2H
