Ares's Story

Ares
Short Hair Brown Tabby & White Neutered Male
Estimated Birthday: 4/25/2026

Ares is a quiet observer with a heart of pure gold. While his brothers rush headfirst into the spotlight, this gentle soul prefers to take his time, measuring the world with sweet, thoughtful eyes before stepping into your arms. Ares is a master of the "slow approach," but the reward is entirely worth the wait. Ares is a master of the "ground-level snuggle." He isn't a fan of being held or picked up, preferring to keep his paws firmly on the floor where he feels safest. However, don't let his independent streak fool you—he absolutely craves attention and loves to be petted. Once he knows you are his friend, he will gladly soak up all the chin scratches and head pats you are willing to give. Ares is a gentle soul who takes a little time to adjust, but he would truly thrive in his forever home alongside one of his playful brothers. Having a familiar, confident brother by his side acts as his ultimate security blanket. Watching his brother play and interact with humans gives Ares the boost of bravery he needs to step out of his shell and ask for his favorite pets. Ares would do well with older, cat-savvy children and other pets with proper introductions.

Ares is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and has been treated for parasites. His adoption fee is $125 or $200 with a sibling. All current pets must be fixed and up-to-date on vaccines with a vet reference.

Fill out our online application to get approved for a meet and greet:
http://www.tigerlilyrescue.com/adoption-application/

Tigerlily Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
* We do require adopters to be at least 21 years old. * If you are leasing, we do ask that you provide a copy of your rental agreement showing that cats are allowed. * We also ask that all adults living in the home agree with the adoption and addition of a feline friend to the family. * For families with young children (under 6), kittens over 6 months are best. * If the pet is to be alone for a significant amount of time, we ask that you consider adopting an older kitten or adult, or consider adopting two kittens to keep each other company. Young kittens are susceptible to social-depression if alone for a significant amount of time. * We also discourage "gift" adoptions unless it is from a parent to a minor child. Our adoption fee of $125 (cash/check) includes feline leukemia/FIV testing, deworming, flea preventative, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines. All Tigerlily cats are thoroughly examined by a veterinarian. All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered prior to being available for adoption.
