Arabella’s FAQs

What is Safe Home Rescue’s adoption process?

Contact us to meet your new friend in one of our many temporary homes.  There is a short application to complete and we validate with the home owner that a pet is allowed in the property.  For small animals, you must have cage dimensions appropriate for the animal size.  All animals are spayed/neutered (with the exception of guinea pigs and rats which must be kept with the same sex only).  Cats/kittens and dogs/puppies are vaccinated appropriate for the age and dewormed.  Cats/kittens are tested as needed for FIV/FELV/HW and dogs are tested for heartworm prior to adoption. We also microchip each pet prior to adoption. Our adoption fees vary by animal as shown below (unless otherwise stated): Adult cats - $50 Kittens under 5 months - $100 Kittens over 5 months - $80 Puppies under 1 year - $150 Dogs over 1 year - $125 Rabbits - $50 Guinea Pigs - $15 Rats - $10 Ask about our reduced prices for adopting more than one!
