Apollo 26-032's Story

Meet the small & mighty Mr. Apollo!
Apollo had a bit of a rough start to life. He and his siblings were found in a bush after their mother was nowhere to be seen for at least a whole day. Plus, not only was he the runt of the litter, but he also seemed to have a swollen back leg from a bite wound he sustained as a baby. A couple of Good Samaritans took them in and cared for them before bringing them to CARE.

Nowadays, Apollo is still small (weighing in just shy of a pound at 6 weeks old), but he eats wet food and is supplemented with formula and NutriCal to ensure that he meets his nutritional goals. As for that back leg, you almost can't tell there was anything wrong! He gets around on it & one of his favorite activities is climbing up onto his foster mom's shoulders.

Apollo & his siblings will get their second round of vaccinations on June 16th. To protect these kittens from potential illness in the meantime, they cannot have meet and greets with potential adopters until late June.

Apollo will be fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $150.00

CARE's adoptable pets are specifically evaluated and selected to be family and companion animals. We place them in foster homes where they live in the home environment and become part of the family while awaiting permanent adoption. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside pets and spend lots of time with their families.

If you are interested in meeting Apollo or learning more about our adoption process, please submit an adoption application. Thank you!

Sponsor: Felicia & Gregory Hogue
