Antonio's Story

Antonio is a thick tabby boy and enjoys quiet, calm company. He has perfected the loaf position and can closely resemble rye bread at a moment's notice. Antonio does begin a little timid, but warms up with gentle ear scritches or a few treats.

He resides in our Middle Cattery and can be found relaxing on a shelf, often with another cat. Our volunteers adore Antonio, and all of his feline roommates feel the same. He makes a wonderful friend for both people and other kitties, and is looking forward to landing in a cozy home.

Stop by to fill out an adoption application and spend as much time as you like with our cats. We do not adopt first come; we always select the best placement for our animals. Please call your veterinarian to permit them to speak with us for our vet check. If you rent, bring proof (lease/contract) that you are allowed to have a cat.

Our adoption fee is $50 for cats. This includes FIV/FeLV testing, flea/tick preventatives, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines, and spay/neuter if six months or older. If they are too young, we require a $50 deposit that will be refunded upon proof that the pet has been altered.

For more info on our shelter and available pets, check us out online:

West Milford Animal Shelter Society
Lycosky Drive, West Milford, NJ 07480
(973) 728-2859

Visiting Hours
Mon - Fri: 10 - 1
Wed Night: 7:30 - 9
Weekends: 10 - 3
