Annie & Butcher's Story
Annie (orange tabby) was found outside with her brother (Hughie) and father (Butcher, orange and white). They were all in rough shape; respiratory infections, eye infections, and covered in filth. She has been very timid but when she allows you to pet her, she will purr and roll on her back. It takes some time for her to be comfortable, but she will lie on you, on a blanket, if given treats or kibble and will eventually eat from your hand.

Just knowing you have food for her will often make her purr.

She loves to jump on your feet under the blanket and takes this play routine seriously.

She is more comfortable around other cats and would do well if she was adopted with her father to show her that it is safe to lie on the bed.

She would do well with someone who will respect her boundaries as she gets comfortable with you. If she is allowed time to settle in, she will be a little purr factory.

With no mother for the babies, Butcher has shown himself to be a loving and dedicated father. He cleans and plays with his babies and is more or less still a kitten himself.

He is a sweet boy, but very cautious around people after all he's been through. It takes some time for him to be comfortable, but he can be swayed with treats to sleep on your bed every day. If he's in the right mood, he loves to be pet. He has gone from hissing at us in the hallway to allowing forehead kisses.

This boy loves other cats and has made fast friends with his foster's resident cats; playing, grooming, and sleeping together. He would do well in a home with other cats.

He may get along well with calm dogs with proper intros.

He has not had experience around kids and would do well with someone who will respect his boundaries as he gets comfortable with you. He is worth the time it takes to bond with him.

Ready to make Annie and Butcher part of your family forever?
