Anne Bonny's Story

Anne is currently living in a loving foster home, and it’s given us a wonderful window into who she really is. She may start off a little shy, but patience with Anne is so worth it. Beneath her cautious exterior is a sweet, affectionate kitten who bonds deeply with her people and makes you feel truly chosen.

Anne is a perfect mix of playful hunter and cozy companion. During the day she’s fairly independent and enjoys long naps tucked into quiet spots, often under the bed. Morning and evening are her prime time, especially around meals, when her playful energy shines. She loves wand toys, laser pointers, spring toys, tunnels, and catnip bananas, and she often chirps happily while chasing her “prey.”

At night, Anne turns into a dedicated cuddler. She sleeps beside you, often curled into your arm, soaking up the closeness. While she isn’t quite a full-time lap cat yet, she recently surprised her foster with her first lap nap, a sweet sign of how much her confidence continues to grow.

Anne is companionable in that lovely cat way. She likes being near her person but also appreciates time to recharge on her own. Because she’s still a kitten with plenty of energy, she would do best in a home where she won’t feel lonely. A work-from-home household or another friendly young cat would help her thrive.

Her affection shows up in gentle, endearing ways. When her foster takes a bath or shower, Anne curls up beside the tub as if keeping watch. She’s also still learning household boundaries and discovering that counters can be tempting, but she’s making progress with guidance.

Anne is small and very good at finding cozy hiding spots, so closing off tight spaces before vet visits is recommended. With calm, thoughtful introductions, she would likely adapt to a well-mannered dog. She may hide at first around new people or children, but with patience and kindness, she warms up beautifully.

Anne is fairly independent, yet when she chooses to show love, it feels special and earned. If you’re someone who understands that the best bonds take a little time, Anne will reward you with a loyal, loving presence and the sweetest night time cuddles.

Kittens do best with a buddy, and Anne should go to a home with another friendly young cat or be adopted with a companion.
