MEET ANGELITO — A GENTLE GIANT WHO DESERVES A FOREVER HOME <br/><br/>Angelito’s story began on the streets of downtown Ottawa, alone and struggling to survive in the middle of winter — -35C. <br/><br/>He was found wandering around the ByWard Market area, moving slowly and cautiously during the daytime, desperately looking for food and somewhere warm to shelter.<br/><br/>Thankfully, a kind Good Samaritan noticed him.<br/><br/>He started leaving food out for Angelito, and slowly, Angelito began coming out of his hiding spot to eat in front of him. That’s when he realized this big boy wasn’t aggressive — he was simply frightened, shy and cautious.<br/><br/>We believe Angelito was dumped or left behind.<br/><br/>He had been left completely alone to fend for himself. <br/><br/>The Good Samaritan reached out to me, and on one of the coldest days in January, Angelito was finally trapped and brought to safety.<br/>He even took a taxi home with him. <br/><br/>Once home, Angelito surprised us all.<br/><br/>He was hungry, exhausted and very matted, but when given the chance, he allowed himself to be petted.<br/><br/>He was all shaved,neutered, vaccinated and microchiped his journey wasn’t over.<br/><br/>A dental was needed, and two weeks later he underwent the procedure. Three teeth had to be extracted. We can only imagine how much pain this poor boy must have been living with while trying to survive outside. <br/><br/>Today, Angelito is a completely different cat.<br/><br/> He is READY for his forever home. <br/><br/>Angelito is a gentle giant who doesn’t ask for much.<br/><br/>He wants YOU.!! They are asked to fill out the adopters request form, then if approved a "Meet and Greet" is scheduled with the foster or myself if cat is with me. Then finally a virtual home tour of their home to finalize and approve the adopter. I rely on my fosters in their opinion if a good match for the cat/kitten.
