Andy was very scared and timid when he first arrived at the shelter but now he will happily lounge on the couch and accept cuddles and treats. Andy is still shy when strangers come in, but once he gets to know you he'll wanna be your friend! Andy does not like dogs and is selective on which cats he likes. Please stop by the Pet Center if you would like to meet our Andy.

Wetaskiwin Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
After selecting your pet, we require you to fill out the adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee. After this is done your new family member will be ready for pick up in 24 hours. This gives you time to ready your home for a new addition and gives us time to make sure that any paperwork and services required are complete. If you change your mind in this 24 hour hold period your payment will be refunded to you. Choosing a pet is a big decision for you and your family but it is also a big life change for your new pet. We require all potential adopters to meet the animal in person prior to adopting. We unfortunately cannot accommodate travel arrangements or shipping of an animal.
