Ampert's Story

Meet Ampert!
Ampert’s story began in a place no kitten should ever have to know. He and his brothers came to us from a property in West Virginia where they endured severe abuse and cruelty. They arrived as tiny bottle babies, needing round-the-clock feedings, constant care, and a whole lot of love just to survive. Sadly, one of his brothers lost his fight, but Ampert and his brother Plutarch kept going.
Their names were inspired by the newest Hunger Games story because, from the very beginning, these boys were little survivors. They fought their way through kittenhood, and now, after all that hard work, they have finally reached the weight needed for neuter and are ready to find families of their own!
Ampert is our resident chatterbox. If you have something to say, he has something to say right back! He loves following his humans around, keeping tabs on everything they do, and making sure his thoughts and feelings are heard. He wants to be where the people are and would love a home where he can have both human companions and a feline friend or two.
He also has a healed broken tail that gives him an extra dash of character and makes him even more ridiculously cute.
After such a difficult beginning, Ampert has grown up knowing what love feels like. Now he’s ready for a family who will give him all the attention, companionship, and affection his little heart could ever want.
Ampert can be adopted separately from Plutarch, but we do think he would benefit from having another friendly feline in his forever home.
He fought hard to make it this far. Now it's time for him to discover just how wonderful life can be.
