Meet Tranquility! <br/><br/>With a name like Tranquility, you might expect a pretty peaceful little soul — and that's exactly what you get. <br/><br/>Tranquility is a calm, gentle young adult who appreciates the good things in life: gentle pets, brushing sessions, belly rubs, crunchy treats, and plenty of love. Once she's settled in, she's a relaxed, affectionate companion who is very happy to enjoy the comforts of indoor life.<br/><br/>She's cat-friendly and enjoys feline company but she doesn't need another cat to be happy. She could live with a friendly feline companion or be perfectly content as the only kitty soaking up all the attention for herself. She would also likely do well with respectful children.<br/><br/>Tranquility came to us through a large rescue effort in rural Mississippi, where Operation Colony Cats helped several nursing moms and their kittens find safety. She was one of the devoted mothers who cared not only for her own babies, but happily helped with any kitten who needed her.<br/><br/>She spent months taking care of everyone else.<br/><br/>Now it's Tranquility's turn to be the baby. <br/><br/>No kittens to raise. No responsibilities. Just a soft place to land, people to love her, and all the belly rubs she can convince them to provide.<br/><br/>Tranquility has spent enough time taking care of others. She's ready for a family to take care of her. <br/><br/>All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
