Alwin's Story

Alwin is ready to find his forever home. He has been tested with female cats and is good with them. We have no way to test him with males but suspect he will be fine with a proper intro. He is fearful of dogs but could likely adjust to a very low energy, cat-experienced dog. He would prefer an adult-only home, with no young children (16+ is ideal) as he is fearful of loud noises and fast movements. True to the Siamese breed, he is very Athletic, smart, and bonds closely to one person. He would do best in a quiet home with breed experience.

Alwin arrived to us from a partner shelter and was quite ill with pulmonary edema after spending time outside. After a cardiologist appt, his heart has been cleared of any issues, and the edema resolved quickly. It has not recurred and there is no known health concerns that will be longterm. He is FIV/FELV negative, updated on vaccines, neutered, dewormed and microchipped. He is estimated to be approx 5 years old. His vet records will go with him.

Alwin is being fostered in Georgetown, ON. His adoption fee is $600 to help us offset some of his vetting costs.

An adoption application be found on our website at www.UDRCanada.ca. This is the first step.

Underdog Railroad Canada's Adoption Policy
Our adoption fees vary depending on the expenses associated with that particular animal. We operate on a cost-recovery basis. Please contact us to confirm adoption fee if it is not posted. No animals are offered for free. All animals are adopted spayed/neutered if over 6 months of age. Those under 6 months of age are adopted under a spay and neuter contract and it is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure this is completed. Adoption contracts must be signed upon adoption and state that the animal is returned to UDR if circumstances ever change and the adopter can no longer care for the pet. Our process includes a completed application, a meet and greet with the animal and a home check upon adoption. Submitting an application for review does not guarantee an adoption will take place.
