Alvin's Story

Alvin is a healthy, domestic short haired male tabby kitten, born April 22, 2026.

He loves his wet and dry (Canin) kitten food and his treats! Alvin came to us in July from a residential neighborhood in Brantford and has settled in nicely into his foster home.

He is active and loves to explore. He is also a people person and a snuggler! Give him a few days to settle in, and you will have a shadow for life. He loves to be cuddled and sit on your lap and fall asleep. He loves his ear and chin scritches and belly rubs will have him purring in seconds!

We don’t know how he would do with children, but he gets along wonderfully with his 2 kitten siblings and our 2 older cats. Alvin needs an indoor only home with other active playmates to keep him company. Alvin broke his right rear leg playing with an overly rambunctious dog at a prior home, (don’t worry, it’s all healed now with no issues) so a no - dog forever home is a must.

He is neutered, age appropriate vaccinations & microchipped.
Adoption Fee: $300

If you are interested in adopting, please apply here: https://chcrrescue.ca/adoption-application/

*please note all kittens under 10 months must be adopted in pairs, or have an existing cat in the household*

Cambridge Homeless Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Potential adopters are required to complete an online application. Once complete, we contact their vet clinic for a reference. Once this is complete and during transfer, the adopters sign a paper contract outlining both ours and their responsibilities post adoption. We ask that cats not be permitted outdoors, no declawing and we ask that for any reason they cannot keep the cat, it is returned to us and not rehomed by them. We offer post-adoption counselling to help address any issues that may arise following adoption.

Our Mission
Currently, there are estimated to be 140,000 homeless cats in Waterloo Region. Our goal is to reduce this number to zero by rehoming social cats and providing spay/neutering of cats being returned to the streets (TNR) thereby controlling the cat population.
