Aloe's Story

My name is Aloe, and my friends here think I'm around 6 years old. Someone put me in a carrier, left me on the doorstep, and walked away without even a note. By the time I was found, my body hurt so badly I could barely relax. Fleas covered me, most of my fur was gone, and my skin was full of painful wounds from scratching nonstop. I didn't know if humans were safe anymore.

The people here didn't give up on me. They cleaned my wounds, helped me heal, and gave me comfort and patience. I'm still a quiet girl. I like calm spaces and gentle people. I'll accept soft forehead scratches for a little while, and then I'll politely let you know when I'm done. Trust is still something I'm learning.

I just need the right person - someone patient, understanding, and kind - to show me that not all humans are scary. If you give me time, I think I could spend the rest of my life loving you in my own quiet way.
