Almond's Story

PLEASE NOTE: You must complete an ADOPTION APPLICATION in order to receive a response. https://www.homeatlastrescue.ca/adoption-form/, or click on the "MORE ABOUT HOME AT LAST RESCUE" button in the bottom right for a direct link.

If you are seeking a cat that is all about the cuddles, you must meet Almond! This sweet one-year-old girl is a quiet, tender soul. Almond is a deeply affectionate girl who absolutely loves a good cuddle session, snuggling in close to her people. When she's not busy cuddling, she's all about playtime. Balls, wand toys, catnip toys - you name it, she's a fan! And if there aren't any toys around, Almond is perfectly happy entertaining herself by chasing her own tail. Once she's worked up an appetite, she's always ready for a treat or two. While she can be a bit timid in new situations at first, her loving nature always wins out. Loud or sudden noises might send her running for a quick moment, but her inner strength shines through as she quickly braves up and comes right back to her humans for reassurance and comfort. Because Almond is a bit sensitive, she thrives when she has another friendly cat companion by her side and MUST have another cat friend in her new home. She is incredibly close with her current foster siblings and would love to be adopted alongside Wick or Ferrero. She also gets along well with the small dog in her foster home.

Almond was born in foster care after her mother was rescued as a stray. As a kitten, Almond was diagnosed with FIP and underwent treatment, making a full recovery. Today, she is a healthy, happy, fully cured FIP survivor who is ready to enjoy a long and wonderful life in her forever home at last.

Almonds gentle demeanour makes her a joy to be around and will easily win over anyones heart. If you have ever had to be brave, or you simply appreciate a happy success story of a fighter, Almond is ready to be the companion who shares your stories of strength and survival.

As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first-come, first-served.
