Alley (FeLV+)'s Story

An approved adoption application is required to meet me in my foster home -- fill out an application today! Our mailing address is Reston, VA and our cats fostered in NoVA and DC homes.
Washington, D.C.- Suburban Virginia/Maryland Area inquiries only, please!

Alley is an incredibly devoted cat whose main mission in life is to be wherever you are. Rescued from the streets of DC right before a big winter storm, Alley took to indoor life immediately and has not left his foster's side since. He’s incredibly loyal and intuitive and has figured out that putting on "adult clothes" means you’re heading out, and he’ll do his best to soak up every last ounce of attention before you go.

Alley is incredibly social, fearless and confident. He loves adventures in the hallway and greets strangers and new visitors with ease.

He is also incredibly tolerant of nail trims and dress up sessions.

He is leash trained and knows a few dog training commands! (see video)

https://youtu.be/wC5dG6hQ0MY?si=J5Bsefx_sjEmh6H_

As long as he’s with you, Alley is purring away. When he isn’t busy being your shadow or exploring the world, His favorite place to be is curled up directly on your chest or waking you up in the morning with soft purrs.

Whether he’s jumping up to meet your hand for a pet or watching your every move with adoration, Alley is a one-of-a-kind companion who is truly ready to be the center of someone’s world.

Alley is Feline Leukemia (FeLV) positive, meaning he has a feline-only virus that affects only other cats (but not people or other animals).

He is NOT sick now – simply positive for the virus. Many FeLV+ cats feel perfectly healthy and live happy lives for years! If illness does develop later, it’s due to how FeLV can affect the immune system over time, which can lead to a shorter overall lifespan.
