Alexandrite (Sugar)'s Story

Meet Alexandrite... though these days he answers to Sugar.

The last time we saw this handsome tuxie, he was just a wee kitten headed off to what we hoped would be his forever home. Somewhere along the way, life took a detour, and Sugar ended up in a shelter. Thankfully, we were able to bring this big boy back to safety.

Now 3 years old and tipping the scales at a mighty 18 pounds, Sugar is less “tiny kitten” and more “luxury-sized companion.” He’s still every bit as sweet as ever... just with extra marshmallow filling. His New Year’s resolution? A healthier lifestyle. Fewer treats. More interpretive dance with wand toys.

Sugar is understandably a little stressed and confused right now. One day you’re living your life, the next you’re back in rescue wondering why everyone keeps discussing “portion control.” But beneath that uncertainty is a gentle, affectionate fellow who absolutely loves pets, attention, cozy spots, cat towers, and having another kitty friend around.

✠̈ 3 years old
✠̈ 18-pound tuxedo gentleman
✠̈ Sweet, affectionate, and handsome
✠̈ Loves toys, towers, and feline companionship
✠̈ Vaccines updated and retested
✠̈ Looking for a calm, loving forever home

Sugar has not been around dogs or small children, but we think older, respectful children who understand kitty boundaries would be just fine for him.

This sweet boy already lost one home.
