Alexander and Gracie Rain's Story
Meet Alexander and Gracie Rain, available for Adoption through FUR Animal Rescue!
Please read the entire bio, all info is provided for you.
RESCUE DATE: August 20, 2025 and August 28, 2025

Sometimes it's just so hard to find where to begin with a story. The story of Alexander and Gracie Rain is such a complex yet simple one.

Both came from the same excessive animal situation. One we've rescued from before, a couple of years ago. Unfortunately most hoarders just re-offend and that's the case here. These two cats, and many more, lived in essentially a giant litter box of a home. Animal control stepped in to get the situation under control, AGAIN, and we did what we could to help - which included taking Alexander, and then Gracie Rain.

First, we rescued Alexander. When we did, he was an absolute shell of a cat. He couldn't be touched or even approached. He cowered in fear and confusion and kept to himself. We'd pet him gently with a wand and he began to enjoy it, but hands remained a definite NO NO. We gave him some time to adjust but it went as far as it could go with us humans....
I decided he needed a friend from his previous hell and Gracie Rain needed us, as well.

When Gracie came, her and Alexander wasted no time meowing back and forth from their suites, as if they were long lost friends catching up. Meow meow meow, back and forth almost nonstop.

We do slow intro at FUR and have quarantine time as well, so they didn't immediately get to reunite.
But when it was time, it was like they were old lost best friends. They hit it off immediately and the two of them have spent the rest of the time adjusting, acclimating and overcoming their trauma - together.
They are now the very best of friends and spend their time playing, bathing, snuggling and just learning what it means to be a pampered pet and not just another cat stuck in a vicious hoarding cycle uncared for and unknown.

Now, they are Alexander and Gracie Rain. Two amazing cats who still have some room to grow socially, but together have blossomed into healthy, stunning and HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY cats... Together. Forever. Alex and Grace... A true blue rescue duo who now need an angel to finalize their journey. Will it be you?

Alex and Grace will need continued "grace" in their new home. It does take them some time to trust and adjust. They are excellent with other cats, so would do well with other felines. They are still a bit hand shy and skittish when you're walking around, but they've made the most amazing progress with us. Alex loooooves to be pet now and Gracie is getting there as well. They both absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE to play!!! It's like they've never done it before and each day playing is the best one yet. They love treats and get so excited when we arrive.
Both cats will bond deeply to their new family, as they are just so full of gratitude. We cant wait to see who scoops up this amazing duo.

?My Superpowers:
? Good with kids but older is best
? Good with other cats
? Can dog test
?
