Alexa

Alexa was rescued from a NYC shelter where she was at risk for euthanasia due to shelter crowding. She was part of a hoarding situation and had spent most of her life in a crowded basement along with many other cats. Her exposure to human beings was low so she is quite shy, but not mean or nasty. She is what we call a "spirit" cat, a cat that will always be near you in spirit. She is independent and enjoys sleeping on her cat tree in foster care, spending time with other cat friends and loves to eat treats. Alexa would be best in a home with other cats and with an owner who has experience with shy cats. A quieter home is also ideal for a cat like Alexa, so a home with young children will not be a great fit.<br/><br/>**If you are interested in meeting or adopting Petey...please read the following!<br/><br/>1.
