Alex's Story
Alex is a success story if there ever was one! He was born into a colony of cats but was observed with the beginning stages of mange. Despite many attempts at trapping to get the vet care he needed, he was too timid and attempts failed month after month. After some time, his mange getting progressively worse and weakness setting in, he finally gave into temptation and was trapped. He immediately went in to the vet and got the care he so badly needed. With his health finally on the mend, we were able to see his true personality come through in a couple short months. Although he very shy, he has shown that he is a loving, curious sweetheart of a young cat! He enjoys getting brushed, head scratches, churus, catnip mice, and string toys. And while he does enjoy getting pets, he doesn't seek them out often. He accepts pets with big purrs at feeding times so we know he loves them, but he will need patience and time to acclimate to a new environment. He is not a fan of the chaos that kittens and young cats bring. So while he gets along well with the other fosters here, he would do better in a home with calm, patient cats. Given time, he will be a loyal friend. He will absolutely take churus as bribes!

Alex is approximately 2 1/2 years old, is litterbox trained, neutered, FIV/Felv negative, and up to date on all vaccinations.

Alex would like a cat friend but would need to be very slow introductions. He currently resides and is cat friends with Socks, Cash and Moira so they would be great adoption buddies. He can also be a solo cat if given lots of attention and playtime.
