Alaska's Story
Meet Alaska

At just over a year and a half old, Alaska has already been through more than most cats ever should. She was rescued from life outdoors while pregnant and gave birth to her kittens safely indoors shortly after arriving with us. Now that her babies are growing up, this sweet mama is finally ready for a life that's all about her.

Alaska is an incredibly gentle and affectionate girl. One of her favorite things is getting attention from her people she'll even stand up on her back legs to rub her head against your hand as a not-so-subtle request for more pets. She's loving, soft-hearted, and happiest once she feels safe and comfortable.

Like many cats who came from outdoor life, Alaska can be a little unsure in new environments at first. She may be a bit hissy for a day or two while she adjusts, but once she settles in, her sweet personality shines through and she becomes very attached to her people.

Alaska would likely do well with other cats given proper introductions. She would probably be happiest in a quieter home with older children or adults only where she can settle in at her own pace.

After spending the beginning of her life surviving outside and raising babies, Alaska deserves a forever home where she can finally relax, be spoiled, and enjoy being someone's beloved companion.

Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! We do our best to keep bios updated as we learn more about each cat or as circumstances change.
