What is Lake Country SPCA’s adoption process?

Complete an adoption contract and pay the adoption donation. If the animal is under 6 months of age you will be responsible for getting the animal spayed/neutered and provide proof. This is a Virginia State Law!!

What is Akela’s adoption fee?

$100

Is Akela good with kids?

Akela is good with kids under the age of 5 and kids over the age of 5.

Is Akela good with other animals?

Akela is good with other cats. It is not known if Akela is good with dogs.

When can I meet Akela?

As soon as the adoption organization has a chance to review your information, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.

When can I adopt Akela?

Time to adopt varies, but typically adoption organizations require an official application prior to adoption. If you’re a match, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.
