AJ's Story

💕 Meet AJ (11⁄2 years old)! 💕

AJ came to Enfield Community Cat Project from an outdoor hoarding situation in Ellington, where dozens of cats were living with very little human interaction and continuing to breed. Despite her difficult start, AJ has come a long way. ❤️

When AJ arrived, she was pregnant. She lovingly raised her kittens, and now that they’ve been weaned, it’s finally her turn to find a family of her own. 🐾

AJ is a beautiful tortoiseshell girl with a gentle heart. She is very shy and may take some time to warm up to new people, but she is not aggressive at all—she’s simply timid and unsure in new situations.

Once AJ knows she can trust you, she becomes incredibly loving and forms a deep bond with her person. She’s the kind of cat who rewards patience with a lifelong friendship. ❤️

AJ truly enjoys the company of other cats and would likely be happiest with a friendly feline companion who can help her feel comfortable. She would do best in a quiet, lower-activity home with children 10 years and older who understand that she may need time to settle in and will respect her space.

AJ has been fully vetted:

💛 Spayed
💛 Vaccinated
💛 SNAP tested negative for FIV and FeLV
💛 Microchipped

Watching a shy cat learn to trust is one of the most rewarding experiences, and AJ deserves the chance to experience the love and security she’s never truly had. She has already been such a wonderful mom—now it’s finally time for someone to take care of her. 🥹🧡

If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient girl who has left her outdoor life behind and is ready for a forever home filled with love, AJ may be the perfect match.
