Aimee's Story

Welcome Aimee!

Hailing from the streets of Spokane, this old matriarc has stood the test of time and is now seeking a safe place to call home for her golden era. She has an estimated birthdate of 04/21/2012.

Aimee was transferred to Murci's Mission from SCRAPS, and she has clearly been through a lot over her lifetime with very little access to care until she entered the shelter system.

The pros:

She had bloodwork and everything looks decent. She's got a good appetite, uses her cat box well, and likes to be petted.

The cons:

She's still very emaciated, she had to have nearly all of her teeth extracted during her dental procedure because they were totally rotten, she is scheduled for an eye removal for a non functional eye afflicted with uveitis, she may have lingering upper respiratory symptoms long term due to chronic untreated infection, and she's still a bit shy about being picked up.

Overall, Aimee will never be in excellent condition and it's impossible to know what her future will hold, but at this time she is stable, grateful for care and love, and deserving of the best possible couch to rest her achy bones on for the rest of her days.

Aimee comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and with recent blood panel and dental surgery. Her adoption fee is waived as she is a super senior, and she goes home with a food sample and all of her medical records. To be considered to adopt Aimee, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.

Thank you for loving our sweet antique!

Murci's Mission 's Adoption Policy
Thank you for choosing to apply with Murci's Mission! We are a foster based 501c3 that specializes in animals with medical and behavioral needs. We do not have a facility or set hours of operation. To be considered to adopt with us, your first step will be to submit an adoption application. From there we will read through our application and make sure that we feel like you and your household will be a good match for your desired pet. If we feel that you are a good match, we will contact you via phone or email to ask any questions we may have and to let you know that we are beginning the process of screening your application. We will then call your references and vet, and finally schedule a meet and greet with you at a time that works for you at your place of residence where we will perform a brief homecheck to ensure there are no immediate dangers to the pet. In most cases, adoption can take place at the end of the meet and greet. For particularly shy pets, or pets that may need more time to warm up to resident animals, additional meet and greets may need to take place. We look forward to meeting you and thank you immensely for choosing to adopt.
