Agnes (in a foster home)

Currently in a foster home, please make an appointment to met her<br/>Agnus has an extremely sad story: When her owner's family came down to bring her to an assisted living facility, they made an appointment to put her 15 year old cat down. We got word of it via a volunteer and got her to our shelter a couple hours before that appointment.<br/>As an only cat in the same home for her whole life, she enjoys the company of people but doesnt like other animals.<br/><br/>Agnus is very sweet and loving, enjoys lots of hugs and kisses, and wants to sit or sleep next to you, but doesnt want to be picked up. She can be vocal when she wants food or treats or attention. But she naps quietly for much of the day. As a round older lady, she is not agile enough to jump onto counters or tables, but she can still hop up on the sofa or bed for snuggles. She still gets the zoomies and likes to play when shes in the mood.<br/><br/>We are all impressed with how much she has adapted to such drastic changes late in life.<br/>Bloodwork showed her to have hyperthyroidism and she is very easy to medicate.
