Agent 47 **in a Foster Home**'s Story

My name is Agent 47, but don’t let the name fool you. I’m not stealthy or dangerous. I’m a shy young cat who has spent most of my short life being scared, and I’m quietly hoping someone out there is willing to give me a chance. I arrived at the Stafford County Animal Shelter on October 1, 2025, when I was about six months old. I came in as a frightened stray who didn’t know what kindness felt like. The shelter staff saw past the fear right away. They saw a gentle boy who wants to trust but needs patience and a calm home to feel safe. I’m a sleek black cat with a touch of white and long, distinguished whiskers. I’m good with other cats, fully litterbox trained, and I truly rely on the comfort of another cat in the home. A confident feline companion helps me feel secure and supported, and it will make my transition into a new home much easier. I have been neutered, microchipped, and I’m up to date on my Rabies vaccine, so there are no geographical adoption restrictions. I may be shy right now, but that isn’t who I truly am. I deserve a loving home too, and it shouldn’t be my destiny to keep growing up at the shelter. With patience, understanding, and a gentle family willing to see past the fear, I know I can become the loyal and affectionate companion I’m meant to be. I’m waiting for someone who sees the quiet, hopeful cat behind the nerves and will give me the home I’ve been longing for.
