ACORN's Story

Acorn is an 12-year-old gentleman with a long-haired black coat that’s currently making a comeback after a much-needed spa treatment to remove some old mats. At just 7.7 pounds, he’s a pocket-sized panther with a surprisingly big personality. Acorn has embraced his retirement years. He’s affectionate, easy to handle, enjoys playtime, and is happiest when he can spend time near his people. He’s the kind of cat who will happily accept cuddles one moment and then surprise you with a burst of kitten-like energy the next. Acorn is mostly deaf, which means he experiences the world a little differently than most cats. He communicates on his own schedule and with great enthusiasm, often sharing his thoughts with the household day or night. His ideal family will appreciate that his vocal commentary is simply part of who he is. After receiving veterinary care, proper nutrition, and lots of TLC, Acorn has been thriving and continues to blossom. He would do best with someone who understands that senior cats come with a little extra character, a few quirks, and a whole lot of love. If you’re looking for a companion with a gentle heart, an endearing personality, and a touch of mystery, Acorn may be your perfect sidekick.
