MEET ACHILLES - Watch his videos! When we first met Achilles, he appeared to be one tough tomcat! He had a limp and a scraggled appearance from being outside. As we have gotten to know him, he has shed the tough guy act and had shown us that all he wants is a quiet warm place to relax with plenty of snacks. He is shy at first, but with patience you will be able to scratch his big handsome head. He does well living with other cats, although he is positive for FIV so speak to your vet about bringing him home if you have another kitty. If you do, he will reward you with his majestic presence and earned affection. Come meet Achilles in Dedham! Achilles is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. Animal Rescue League of Boston(Dedham branch)'s Adoption Policy

We require the following as part of the adoption process: - We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirement. - Adopter must be 18 years of age or older - A photo of the cage your pet will live in, if adopting a small animal or bird - Adopters are responsible for bringing their own travel carrier to bring home all adopted cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, and other small animals or birds of a larger size. All ARL Animal Care & Adoption centers offer new travel carriers for sale ($35 – $40 depending on size), along with gently used carriers, as supplies last ($10).
