Abita Rootbeer's Story
Introducing Rootbeer. Rootbeer was born on the campus of Columbia University at a construction site and was rescued after one of the moms of these two litters was killed and hit by a car. This adorable soda kitten has come so far from being scared when he first was rescued.
Rootbeer is a hurricane personified (or catified, if you will.) He's the happiest, silliest little boy, always playing? Always curious. He has amazing unintentional comic timing, and his face always looks genuinely surprised which is a joy to behold unto itself. He truly has no idea he has special needs. His boldness and flair for the dramatic is endlessly entertaining. He's also a major snuggle bunny, and if purrs were music, his purrs would be heavy metal. He'd do well as a single cat, as he gives major only child energy. He likes to play with no fewer than 2 ball-in-track toys at once. If you need a little chaotic good energy in your life, this is your dude.
Rootbeer and some of his siblings suffer from a condition called Rickets (you may have heard of this in some old timey books and movies because really in 2026 who has rickets anymore?). Rickets affects his ability to absorb calcium and because of this he takes medication to help manage this condition! Besides that however, he is an incredibly sweet and loving playful kitten.
