Abe's Story

Meet Abe

Abe is a handsome orange boy with the coveted orange-cat glow and just the right amount of orange cattitude. He was found on Ford Road, completely scared and overwhelmed, and he is still learning that the world can be a safe place.

In foster care, Abe needed time. During his first week, he mostly stayed hidden and quietly observed the humans around him. By the second week, with the encouragement of his kitty friends, he started coming out, playing, exploring, and even running around like the kitten he is.

Abe is still shy and easily startled, but he has such a tender side. He has moments when he will snuggle up with his human, then wake up, realize where he is, and dart away because he is still figuring it all out. This sweet boy needs a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and that Abe needs to move at his own pace.

Abe bonded strongly with his foster buddy, Dozer. While they are not required to be adopted together, they would make a wonderful dynamic duo. Abe would also do best in a home with another friendly cat, or even a calm, cat-friendly dog, who can help give him the confidence he needs.

If you have a gentle heart, a little patience, and room for a shy orange boy to blossom, Abe may be the one for you.

FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.
