ABBY's Story

WATCH MY VIDEO...Abby is a beautiful 5-year-old brown tiger kitty whose story is especially heartbreaking. More than three years ago, Abby was adopted from our shelter and thought she had found her happily-ever-after. Unfortunately, due to a move, her family could no longer keep her, and Abby has found herself back at the shelter through no fault of her own.

Losing the only home she's known for the past several years has been a difficult adjustment, but Abby's loving personality continues to shine through.

According to her former owner, Abby is affectionate, playful, and a wonderful companion. She enjoys toys, treats, scratching posts, and long naps in cozy spots around the house. While she can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up with patience and quickly becomes a loyal friend.

Abby has an excellent history living with adults, children ages 3 and older, dogs, and other cats, making her a great candidate for many different types of homes.

Since returning to the shelter, Abby has quickly won over our staff and volunteers. One thing everyone agrees on is that Abby absolutely loves being petted. Give her a little attention, and she'll reward you with a loud, happy purr that seems to go on forever. She clearly enjoys affection and human companionship. While she tolerates being picked up briefly, she'd much rather keep her paws on the ground and choose when and where she'd like to receive her attention.

Abby is the kind of cat who doesn't ask for much, just a comfortable place to nap, a few toys to enjoy, plenty of gentle pets, and a family who will love her forever. After already losing one home, we'd love nothing more than to see Abby find a family committed to giving her the stability and security she deserves.

If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion with a heart full of love and a purr that will melt yours, Abby may be the perfect addition to your family.
