Abby's Story

Meet Abby, a beautiful 6-year-old long-haired tuxedo with a gentle heart and a quiet spirit. Abby may be shy at first, but with time, patience, and a calm environment, she forms deep, loyal bonds with her person.

Abby was originally adopted as a young kitten and spent years in a loving home where she blossomed into a devoted companion. Once she felt safe, she would follow her person from room to room, sleep beside them at night, and offer steady, comforting companionship. Shes not a lap cat and prefers not to be picked up, but she shows her affection in her own sweet, devoted way.

Like many sensitive cats, Abby takes time to adjust to new surroundings. She feels safest in quiet, smaller spaces and can become overwhelmed in busy environments or homes with lots of hiding spots. Because of this, shes looking for a peaceful home without other pets or young children, and with someone who understands that trust is built slowly—and is so worth the wait.

Abby is healthy overall and has been seen recently by a vet. She may show some signs of stress when adjusting, but with stability and love, she has every potential to thrive again just as she did before.

If youre a patient, compassionate person looking for a deeply loyal companion, Abby could be the perfect match. Give her the time she needs, and shell reward you with a quiet, meaningful bond.

If youre interested in meeting this sweet cat or learning more, please reach out.

This cat is considered a Courtesy Listing. Jakes Place offers our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.
