Abbey's Story

Abbey is a fun-loving, energetic cat with a personality as bright as her beautiful eyes! She loves to play, especially with her favorite toys – anything with bells, and she’s in heaven! Abbey is not just a regular playful kitty; she’s also incredibly smart. She’s figured out how to turn on her own electric wand toy, a true sign of her cleverness and problem-solving skills! When it comes to other cats, Abbey is a social butterfly! She loves to interact and play with her fellow feline friends, making her the perfect companion for another playful cat. Scratching posts are a must for Abbey; she loves to stretch and scratch to her heart’s content. Abbey has never been around dogs or kids, so we’re not sure how she would react to them, but with her playful and curious nature, we think she’d do well in the right environment. If you're looking for a fun and engaging cat who loves toys, fellow cats, and getting into mischief (in the best way!), Abbey might be the perfect match for you. She’s ready to bring endless joy, laughter, and playtime into your life! PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: ***ALL ANIMALS ARE CURRENTLY IN LONG BEACH, MISSISSIPPI.*** We transport adopted animals every 2-3 weeks to Northeast states. Transport meets in Brattleboro, VT. Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. We will discuss additional details with potential adopters once we have an application on file. For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. We are located in an overpopulated area surrounded by high-kill shelters. Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel. Each pet is spayed/neutered, receives age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and flea/tick prevention. For Pet's Sake Rescue's Adoption Policy

Our Adoption Process: 1. Once we receive the completed application, we will call your vet references, employer, and landlord (if applicable). 2. Provide a photo ID with your current address or current mail with current address with your submitted application. Your ID and additional forms can be attached to the application. a. If the address on your ID does not match your current address, both items are required. b. If no valid Government ID is provided, your application will be automatically denied. 3. We require a "home visit" for applicants without a current vet reference. A home visit is virtual via photos. We require photos of your home showing it is safe for a pet. 4. Once you get an approval, we will send you an adoption contract and invoice for the adoption. Fees will not be refunded once your pet is on hold if you change your mind. We hold pets for serious adopters only. --Once we have a signed contract and paid invoice, we will reserve a kennel for transport (Transport Adoptions Only) **We reserve the right to refuse an adoption**
