Aaron's Story

Aaron was picked up outside the shelter one night by a volunteer who noticed him looking inside the door as if he was seeking food and shelter. He was brave enough to let her pick him up and bring him inside where he happily ate a full meal. He was thin and had probably been on his own for awhile.

After quarantine, he was neutered and placed in a free range room. He took a few days to acclimate to his new surroundings, preferring to hide in a tree. But one day we noticed him snuggled up with another shy cat in the room named Brock. They have similar personalities and definitely get along well!

Aaron is quiet and calm but curious and playful. He likes people and loves attention. HEARTT Animal Refuge's Adoption Policy
All adoptions are by appointment only. We have two locations, Sharonville and Bridgetown, so please clarify who you would like to meet so we can set up the appointment at the correct location. Our adoption fee for both dogs and cats is $100 per animal. We have a policy to only adopt to individuals age 21 or older. Additionally, we only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter. All animals are spayed/neutered and vaccinated prior to adoption. We also give flea and dewormer treatments. Dogs are tested for Heartworm and cats are quarantined for 8 weeks prior to FIV/FeLV testing. Please see our list of adoptable dogs and cats or check our Facebook page at Facebook.com/HearttCincy. Not all of our animals are shown on Petfinder. Consider a "Senior" pet.....they really need love and a home to call their own in their senior years. We have a few beautiful kittens and many adult cats that are looking for you. Give us a call to enrich the life of a deserving dog or cat, as well as your own! All adoptions are made by appointment only. Email HaveAHeartt@yahoo.com to begin the process.
