4-645 Turtle's Story

Turtle #4-645, female. Arrived 12/10/2024 at 8-10 years old. Felv/FIV negative, current on vaccinations and parasite prevention, altered and microchipped. For more information please call and speak with adoption staff. 631-643-9270 Don’t let her slow start fool you—Turtle is a total sweetheart just waiting for the right person to help her shell open up! This senior lady is gentle, quiet, and searching for a patient home where she can take life at her own pace. Turtle is very fearful of new people and human hands at first. Sudden movements can startle her, so she needs a calm, quiet environment with a soft-spoken human who understands that real trust takes time. Once she knows she is safe, her charming personality begins to shine! Turtle’s Favorite Things: Cat Friends: She is fully cat-friendly and gains confidence around other calm feline companions. Vertical Exploring: She loves to climb and perch up high where she can safely observe her surroundings. Cozy Spots: Give her a plush, soft bed or a cozy hideout cave, and she will happily relax for hours. Simple Joys: She has a huge soft spot for delicious treats and catnip toys! Turtle isn't a cat who demands instant attention; she prefers a "go-slow" approach. If you have a peaceful home, a patient heart, and a few high perches ready, Turtle will reward your kindness with a lifetime of quiet loyalty and gentle companionship.
