Ziggy & Zazu

Ziggy & Zazu are a vibrant and inseparable bonded pair of parakeets looking for their forever home! Ziggy is a stunning blue budgie with a big personality. He is the adventurer of the duo—always the first to check out a new toy, chirp a happy song, or investigate what you’re doing. Zazu is a beautiful green budgie who balances out Ziggy perfectly. She is a bit more laid-back and sweet, preferring to let Ziggy test the waters before she joins in on the fun.

While they are completely confident with each other, they are currently a bit shy around people and need some patient work being socialized. With a gentle hand, routine, and some tasty millet treats, they will surely learn to trust their new humans. On the plus side, they have been exposed to cats in the home and are not phased by them at all! (Of course, for their safety, any feline housemates should always be supervised and safely separated from bird territory).

Because they are completely devoted to each other, they must be adopted together. They spend their days grooming each other, sharing snacks, and chattering in sweet harmony. They would do wonderfully in a patient, loving home that can provide them with a spacious cage, plenty of toys to shred, and daily out-of-cage time to safely stretch their wings.
If you are looking for a double dose of color, joy, and bird song, Ziggy & Zazu are ready to fly into your heart!

These birds are being fostered in Rochester, NY by Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions. We are not a shelter, but a foster home-based rescue and these animals are all housed individually with foster families.

Please review our application carefully and ensure everyone in the family is ready for the lifelong responsibility and commitment of a family pet.

If you are interested in meeting Ziggy & Zazu, please fill out an application at: https://rescued-treasures.com
