Twila is a beautiful Sun Conure who came to us as part of the New Hampshire 16 rescue, a group of parrots saved from uncertain circumstances. We don’t know much about Twila’s past, but every day she gives us little glimpses into the gentle heart she’s been keeping safe for so long. Unlike the loud and fiery energy many associate with her species, Twila is calm, slow-moving, and very careful about her surroundings. She takes her time to observe, think, and decide when she feels safe—and we love her all the more for it. Her gentle presence is incredibly special, and she has a quiet way of capturing your heart. She’s still learning to trust, but one thing’s for sure—cashews and safflower seeds are her love language. Offer her a treat, and you’ll see her brighten up in the sweetest way. Twila is looking for a patient, peaceful home that will respect her pace and give her the space to blossom on her own terms. With kindness and time, she’ll be the kind of companion who bonds deeply.
