She loves to snuggle, play, and be within sight of her companion as much as possible. Like all cockatoos, she can be vocal at times, but she means well. She simply wants to be near you and her flock. Romeo does well around dogs, cats, and other birds. She also loves to repeatedly mimic a cat's meow and will occasionally bark like a small dog.<br/>Romeo is very smart and sweet and has been with the same lady for the past 17 years.<br/>Romeo likes both men and women, although we believe she may be female. History has taught us that many female cockatoos tend to prefer men, but Romeo has formed a strong bond with a woman and enjoys the companionship of a women.<br/>Romeo has a stunning, wide crest, a warm demeanor, and can be incredibly affectionate. She also has a habit of barking up a storm like a small dog. This can happen unexpectedly and may surprise guests, visitors, or other animals in the home.<br/>Romeo has a wonderful appetite and loves fresh fruits, vegetables, and treats. We prefer to place Romeo with someone who has cockatoo experience so they can better understand her body language and emotional needs.<br/>Romeo's adoption fee includes her large 40" x 30" dome-top cage and our $600 care package, which includes refillable toys, two months of food, a Wi-Fi camera, a new chop blender, and much more.<br/><br/>If you are certain that you can provide Romeo with the attention, companionship, and specialized care she deserves—and you do not share walls with neighbors—please submit your adoption application as soon as possible.<br/>Please refrain from calling or emailing us, even after submitting your application.
