Rigby's Story

Rigby is a nonflighted pigeon rescued in downtown Chicago with a fractured right wing. He can’t fly, but he’s fully adapted to life on the ground and has strong opinions about how that ground should be used. Specifically: no ketchup on hot dogs. This is not negotiable. Mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes, pickle spear, sport peppers, celery salt — all approved. Ketchup — absolutely not. He doesn’t make a big speech about it. He just looks at you. You’ll know.
He also has thoughts about pizza. Deep dish: yes. Thin crust tavern-style squares: fine. Folding a slice New York-style in Chicago: he’s watching you and he’s making a note.
Rigby is quirky and loyal and genuinely entertaining to have around. He does the full foot patrol — strutting the perimeter, investigating snacks, turning up wherever something interesting might be happening. For a bird who lost his flight, he covers a lot of ground.
He’s looking for a home that’ll appreciate a bird with a big personality, a strong sense of justice, and extremely specific culinary standards. Chicago people preferred, but anyone willing to learn the rules will be considered.
Mustard only. He means it.
