Pretty Boy's Story

Hello there! My name is PB, short for “Pretty Boy.” I’m a 30-year-old male cockatiel—yes, you read that right, 30! My story began when my first caretaker rescued me from a tree back in 1995. Not much is known about my life after that, but I’ve clearly had quite the journey.

I’m taking it easy these days, settling into foster care and learning to enjoy the slower pace of life. I might act a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you—I love attention. While I prefer not to be touched or handled, I’ll happily sing and chirp to get your attention when you walk away (foster mom thinks I'm a tease). I also enjoy a refreshing spritz from a water bottle shower, and of course, my favorite treat is millet (I can’t resist!). I’ve been on a seed-based diet my whole life.

I’m looking for a gentle, patient companion who understands that older birds like me need a calm environment and consistent care. I’d be happiest with a nice view out the window or a spot where I can watch you go about your day.

I may be a senior bird, but I still have lots of personality and song left to share. If you’re looking for a cute, low-maintenance companion to keep you company, please consider giving me a loving forever home for my golden years.

Pretty Boy would love a "Welcome to Foster" gift.
