She is quite the little firecracker for sure! She has TONS of energy and is very active both in her cage and out.<br/><br/>She really enjoys playing with her bells and paper toys in her cage, loves taking baths in her water bowl, enjoys her sunflower seed treats very much and is always very curious to see what you're doing. Her foster mom tried typing this write-up with Pockets on her shoulder, but she kept coming down to the keyboard to "help" ...it was funny.<br/><br/>At first, until she gets to know you, she is very vocal and nippy, but once she warms up to you (about a week) she is very trusting, playful and lovable and will step up without nipping. She really enjoys her shoulder rides, getting attention and being part of what's happening.<br/><br/>She really enjoys blueberries and strawberries so far. She's always interested in what we're eating or drinking too... she is very curious!<br/><br/>Right now, she seems to prefer females over males, as her previous caretaker was a female. She has not been DNA tested, but has been referred to as "she" her whole life. She will do best as the only bird in the home.<br/><br/>Only a week after arriving at her foster home, she has really quieted down and started playing with and staying occupied with her toys. She whistles the chorus to "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire...SO cute! She is quite the love once she gets used to you...even if you're just sitting in the room where she is. She doesn't seem to like the vacuum too much, as she "roars" while it is being used...it's really funny!<br/><br/>Pockets has been disease tested for Chlamydia and PBFD.<br/><br/>Pockets is being fostered in Hillsborough, NJ and will require multiple visits to find the right family fit. She will only be adopted into a forever home within driving distance. We will NOT ship our birds.<br/><br/>For the Love of Birds is a group of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA.<br/><br/>We do not have a central location. Bailey is living in a volunteer's private home.
