Phoenix AKA "Big Greens" is a 17 year old male military macaw. He knows how to fly and will go from his cage to your arm, for example. For a large bird in our home, this can be tricky, but it's a really valuable skill to have. And flying is very good for heart health, so of course we would like Phoenix to be able to fly in his adopting home. He is enjoying a healthy diet in his foster home, also important to maintain, especially at his young age! <br/><br/>IMPORTANT PROCESS INFORMATION: Before we can discuss a specific bird with you, we ask that you follow our adoption process. Some birds are in foster homes that may adopt them, many other birds are waiting for our help and are not yet posted in PetFinders. The adoption coordinator in your area will work with you to find the best home for each bird, and a species and personality that works best for your family too.
