Peeko's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hatch Date: 2023
Peeko is an ADORABLE 3-year-old male grey Cockatiel. He needs to be the only bird in the home as he doesn't get along well with the other birds in his current home.
He seems to prefer males to females. Although he will fly over to his perch and sing to both male and female visitors.
Peeko came into his current home back in August. He had no wing feathers and could not fly, as he was plucking. His mom has been able to get that mostly under control with more love, attention and a better diet. He now has wing feathers and can fly just fine. He is also transitioning to pellets.
He responds well to his name when called and likes being around people. He loves to sing and talks up a storm...very interactive.
As previously mentioned, he will do best in a home where he is the only bird. His mom thinks he would prefer a single male home that can provide lots of out-of-cage time for him. Peeko is used to being in his cage only to sleep.
Peeko has been disease tested for PBFD and Chlamydia.
Peeko is participating in our Help with Rehoming program and is still with his family in Edison, NJ. He will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance. We will NOT ship our birds.
For the Love of Birds is a group of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA.
